Normanton Solar Farm Community Information Pack

Introduction Construction of the Normanton Solar Farm will commence in March 2016. The Normanton Solar Farm partners Scouller Energy and Canadian Solar (Australia), will utilise proven solar technology and efficient construction practices, while also delivering seamless integration into Ergon Energy’s Electricity grid. The Normanton Solar Farm will be based at Lilyvale, a degraded ex-grazing property 5 km south of Normanton in Queensland’s Gulf Savannah region. The local council of Carpentaria Shire has sold Lilyvale to the Normanton Solar Farm. Project Community Information Meeting 17th March 2016

5MW Solar PV Power Station Scouller Energy and Canadian Solar have commenced work on what will be Australia’s first “Test Case” Solar PV Power Station connected to the extremities of the National Energy Grid. April 1st, 2nd, 3rd 2016 It’s on again in April—the Karumba Community Anglers Classic will be held the weekend after Easter 1st, 2nd, 3rd April. Once again the Gulf Barramundi Restocking Association along with other not for profit local community groups will be managing the event.
