Billy Tea Safaris Daintree, Cape Tribulation 4WD Bloomfield Track Tour.
Tour operates every day except Christmas Day and also the Sunday 8th June, Cairns Iron Man Triathlon.
Billy Tea Safaris specialise in small group numbers, our vehicle configuration ranges from 1 x 7 seater vehicle, 2 x 13 Seater Vehicle, 2 x 14 Seater Vehicles and 1 x 16 Seater Vehicle. We keep our numbers small so the guests have a personalised tour for the day.
Their Day includes the following.
Your Eco, environmentalist guide will meet you at your accommodation and after introductions; we drive north along the scenic coastal road admiring views of the Coral Sea and golden beaches. We travel through the small sugar town of Mossman enroute to the majestic Daintree River. Time to enjoy a short morning tea break (which includes Daintree Tea, Coffee and Biscuits), and then all aboard for your 1 hour informative river cruise. Relax and enjoy the splendour only the Daintree can offer as you learn of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove eco system and wildlife, this is nature at its best!
We now ascend the Alexandra Range in custom built high clearance 4WD Vehicle, which gives you great views with the extra large windows, and making creek crossing and causeway an ease, and pause for a panoramic view of World Heritage Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea. Experience the rainforest intimately on a National Park Boardwalk, while your environmentalist guide explains the flora and fauna of this World Heritage Rainforest and also searching for the rare Southern Cassowary and other wildlife. We now make our way to our Rainforest setting for a gourmet BBQ lunch with delicious homemade salads (vegetarians catered for upon request). Relax at this unique wildlife sanctuary enjoy a drink from the bar and also have the opportunity to hand feed Kangaroos.
It is now time to make our way over the rainforest ranges beyond Cape Tribulation along the 4WD Bloomfield track for the first 7 kilometres to the pristine Emmagen Creek, to enjoy a relaxing swim in a beautiful rainforest freshwater creek this is a hidden jewel in this ancient rainforest. Indulge in a feast of traditional Australian Billy Tea and homemade damper with a selection of local exotic tropical fruits, whilst listening to the symphony of birds in the trees and watching the turtles and fish swim by.
At Cape Tribulation Beach you have the opportunity to take a stroll along the beach, take a walk on the botanical boardwalk to enjoy the spectacular views of Cape Tribulation and see where the rainforest meets the reef or time for a quick swim (seasonal).
After a short afternoon refreshment stop, and time permitting we also visit the Daintree Ice-Creamery where the home made ice-cream with local exotic tropical fruits. From here we cross the Daintree River by cable ferry and begin our homeward journey somewhat wiser for our Total Rainforest Experience.
This tour is not suitable for disabled people due to uneven ground and stairs on the boardwalks.
